AIA Lecturer: Jerome Lynn Hall
Jerome Lynn Hall is Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of San Diego. He is past President of the Institute of Nautical Archaeology, and past Director of the Office of Underwater Archaeology, Puerto Rico. He holds his degrees from Abilene Christian University, Nova Southeastern University (M.S.), and Texas A&M University (Ph.D.), and his areas of specialization are European expansion in the New World (17th century), and the Dutch in the New World. He has published a number of articles on shipwrecks, and has conducted fieldwork on the Tantura B shipwreck (an Arab-period wreck in Tantura Lagoon, Israel), the Uluburun shipwreck (a Late Bronze Age off the coast of Turkey), and the Monte Cristi shipwreck (a 17th century northern European wreck in Monte Cristi Bay, Dominican Republic).
