AIA Lecturer: Margaret (Peggy) Mook

Margaret Mook is Associate Professor of Classical Studies with Iowa State University at Ames.  A classicist and archaeologist, she  received her degrees from The College of Wooster (B.A. in Greek) and the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis (M.A. and Ph.D. in Classics).  Her research interests are Late Bronze Age, Early Iron Age, and Archaic Greece, and since 1984 she has conducted archaeological fieldwork on Crete.  She is continuing her work in the Kavousi region of eastern Crete with a very exciting new archaeological project, a collaborative and interdisciplinary excavation of an Archaic site with early foundations. She has several articles forthcoming on work at Azoria, Crete, including her work there on Archaic houses
