AIA Lecturer: Melissa Connor

Affiliation: Nebraska Wesleyan University

Melissa Connor is the Director of the Forensic Science Program at Nebraska Wesleyan University.  She holds her degrees from the University of Wisconsin (M.A.) and the University of Nebraska (Ph.D.), and her areas of specialization are forensic archaeology and the archaeology of battlefields.  She has completed numerous projects for the National Park Service, including at Grand Teton National Park and the Little Bighorn Battlefield, and her main publications include “Forensic Methods: Excavation for the Criminal Investigator and the Archaeologist” (2007, Altamira Press). She has provided services as a forensic specialist in Iraq, Nigeria, Kosovo, Cyprus, and Bosnia, as well as in the United States.
