AIA Lecturer: Norman Hammond

Affiliation: Boston University

Professor Norman Hammond received his PhD in Classical Archaeology from Cambridge University and currently teaches at Boston University. He specializes in Mesoamerica, and especially the Maya. Professor Hammond has excavated at many Mayan sites in Belize, including Lubaantun, Nohmul, Cuello and La Milpa. He has also dedicated much of his time to the AIA, serving on various boards and committees, including the Gold Medal Committee and the Governing Board.
