AIA Lecturer: Tina L. Greenfield

Tina L. Greenfield is Co-Director of the Near Eastern and Biblical Archaeology Laboratory (NEBAL) at the University of Manitoba, and also Research Associate with the Department of Anthropology and Reseach Fellow with St. Paul’s College there.  She is a Visiting Scholar with the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research in Cambridge, and Adjunct Faculty with the Department of Anthropology, University of Winnipeg.  She holds her degrees from the University of Cambridge (Ph.D.) and the University of Manitoba; she is a zooarchaeologist who has worked on archaeological sites in Iraqi Kudistan and southern Iraq, Canada, Europe, Israel, South Africa, and Turkey, and her area of specialization is the ancient animal economies of early empires.
