AIA Lecturer: Willeke Wendrich

Willeke Wendrich is Professor of Egyptian Archaeology with the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at UCLA. She holds her degrees from the University of Amsterdam, (M.A.) and Leiden University (Ph.D.), and her areas of specialization are the archaeology of Egypt and digital Humanities. She has conducted fieldwork at Fayum, on a landscape archaeology and site-management project. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the UCLA Encyclopedia of Egyptology, and her main publications include chapters in “The Archaeology of Mobility: Nomads in the Old and in the New World” (2008, Cotsen Institute Publications).
