The Bosque Museum hosted a free program for the local public highlighting the museum's extensive Native American artifact collections and exhibits on ancient man in Texas. The museum provided a learning center for the identification of North American artifacts. Planned children's activities included story telling by a person of Native American Heritage and the preparation of Native American Foods.
The AIA-Gainesville Society celebrated International Archaeology Day at a new exhibit opening at the Florida Museum of Natural History, and by hosting two related lectures on the archaeology and history of St. Augustine.
