The AIA Dallas hosts Dr. Stephanie Langin-Hooper, the Karl Kilinski II Endowed Professor of Hellenic Visual Culture at Southern Methodist University.

Dr. Langin-Hooper is examining the interaction between Greek culture and the culture of the ancient Near East after the conquest of Alexander the Great.  These very personal terracotta statuettes reveal a great deal about the ways in which these people dealt with each other after the collapse of the Persian Empire.
