Dr. Richard Burger, Charles J. MacCurdey Professor of Anthropology, Yale University, will speak on the discovery of a horde of gold objects in the royal tomb of Sipan. This has spurred a boom in archaeological research resulting in a new understanding of the Moche Culture (A.D. 200-700) in Peru.
