2025 AIA Field School Scholarship Winners Announcement
Congratulations to this year’s 16 recipients of the AIA’s Field School Scholarships! These awards support undergraduate juniors, seniors, and first-year graduate students as they attend their first archaeological field school.
The Jane C. Waldbaum Archaeological Field School Scholarships, established in 2007 in honor of AIA Honorary President Jane Waldbaum, continue to make this opportunity possible for many.
The American School of Prehistoric Research Scholarships are also helping students attend field schools at sites across the Eastern Hemisphere, focusing on places occupied before the mid–1st millennium BCE.
The Laura Obolensky Scholarships were launched in 2025 to fund students’ field school participation in areas such as: Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, ancient Mesopotamia, Scythia, and Bactria.
