AIA In The Field

Courtesy Jason Lau

At this time of year, many of you are venturing into the field to participate in excavations. We encourage everyone to share photos from your digs with the AIA community and the public by mentioning @archaeology_aia on Twitter and Instagram and using the hashtag #AIAintheField. For those who might not have a chance to explore the trenches, we hope the posts will help you learn where AIA members are working, and even about some of their favorite discoveries. Each image will offer a chance to understand how exciting and important fieldwork is to the discipline. For those participating in excavations, sharing your photos will help you reach other professionals and enthusiasts with a genuine interest in expanding their knowledge.
