AIA Serves Up A Taste of Ancient History This April

The AIA is teaming up with Elifant Archaeo-Culinary Tours and Phaidon to create a unique culinary experience at the upcoming AIA Saving Ancient Places Benefit Evening.  Join us on April 21st as our Chef Joe Jenkins at 360 in Tribeca creates one amazing dish after the other based on Roman recipes provided by our experts at Elifant Tours and carefully selected delicacies from the one-of-a-kind Phaidon cultural cookbooks, which offer up traditional tastes of cuisine from India, Thailand, Mexico, Creole, Tuscany, to Peru.

Additionally, you can bid on a graciously donated library of Phaidon publications at the event or in our pre-event online auction (bidding starts March 30).  Like us on Facebook to get a sneak peek of the recipes chosen, purchase your tickets to attend the event, or try cooking some ancient meals at home!   For an overseas culinary adventure, visit Elifant to view their itineraries, which are built around ancient food, food supply, cooking, and eating.  Join us at this festive food event and the price of your ticket will support archaeological sites around the globe.
