Changes to the Regulations and New Policies


At the 120th Meeting of Council on January 4, 2019, the following changes to the Regulations were approved.

On April 27, 2018, the Governing Board voted to adopt the AIA Respectful Behavior at the Annual Meeting Policy

On October 13, 2018, the Governing Board voted to adopt an addendum to the Considerations Regarding the Tenure and Promotion of Classical Archaeologists Employed in Colleges and Universities, entitled, Guidelines for the Evaluation of Digital Technology and Scholarship in Archaeology. The revised document with the addendum can be found here

On January 3, 2019, the Governing Board voted to adopt the AIA Statement on Sexual Harassment and Assault and Guidelines on Archaeological Field Projects
