Meet the Team: Zominthos, Crete

Dimitris Kokkinakos

Dimitris Kokkinakos was born in Sparta in 1990. He graduated from the Department of History and Archaeology at the University of Crete. His postgraduate studies are currently on “Ancient Mediterranean World: History and Archaeology” at the same department. He has participated in survey projects at the islands Meganisi (Director N. Galanidou) and Dia (Director K. Kopaka) and in excavations at Dispilio (Director G. Chourmouziadis) and Gavdos (Director K. Kopaka). He has also worked as an archaeologist under fixed term contract for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism at Florina. He has been a member of the Zominthos scientific team since 2014.
