Project Description:
Students will learn ground penetrating radar, scientific archaeological metal detection, magnetometry, hand excavation, lab methodology and museum studies applications including 3D scanning and printing of artifacts. Enjoy revealing the history of the battle of Rhode Island while learning methodologies and skills applicable across multiple disciplines and visiting local museums and historic sites.

There are limited scholarships possible and cost covers credits and there is no additional cost for this field school
Project Size: 1-24 participants
Minimum Length of Stay for Volunteers: 5 weeks but we can work around your needs
Minimum Age: 18
Experience Required: No experience required but applicants should be interested in best practice, respectful team work, interest in anthropology, history, archaeology. Lab or field work experience a plus.
Room and Board Arrangements:
Optional housing for duration of field school at stonehill college with Stonehill van transport to and from site during field days. Commenters also welcome or international students, no need to house at stonehill college if you do not need / want to. Stonehill estimated $75 a week for housing for field school students.
Academic Credit:
4 credits through Stonehill college but can be transferred to your schools transcript if applicable
