This excavation program at Ancient Salona welcomes students and curious travelers seeking both archaeological training and a relaxed Adriatic experience. Fieldwork is led by the University of Zagreb’s Department of Archaeology and the Archaeological Museum of Split, while Ventula Travel provides the travel framework—transfers, excursions, guides, and accommodation.
Participants take part in excavation, restoration, documentation, lectures, and guided visits to major sites as well as lesser-known corners of the region. Time is also reserved for meeting local communities and enjoying the cultural rhythms of Dalmatia. In case of rain, indoor activities such as finds processing and workshops ensure the learning continues.
