COME CAMP WITH US!
Study life on the 18th century frontier, along with the impacts of 20th century archaeological excavations on heritage sites. Crown Point State Historic Site, the “last great unexcavated military site in North America,” sits within the Forever Wild Adirondack State Forest and includes two imposing colonial fortifications – French Fort St. Frédéric and Britain’s His Majesty’s Fort at Crown Point. This field-school is in cooperation with New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, & Historic Preservation. Additional points of interest include birding, geological/fossil trails, lectures, & nearby lake-access.
