Overlooking Malaga, Spain with the Malaga Cathedral in the foreground. Malaga dates back to 1000 BCE when it was colonized by the Phoenicians who called it Malaka. The Malaga Cathedral has a long history of construction, beginning in 1487 CE when the Aljama Mosque here was converted into a cathedral. The temple section as seen today was built in 1768 CE.
