Rockford Society Celebrates 300th Lecture

The AIA-Rockford Society celebrated their 300th lecture on April 19 with a lecture from AIA Kress Lecturer Lorenzo Nigro.  Nigro’s lecture was entitled “The Phoenicians at the World’s Ends: the formation of Mediterranean Civilization as seen from the island of Motya in Sicily.”  Attendees were treated to a fascinating lecture about excavations at Motya, an early Phoenician settlement, as well as a special celebratory cake!

The Rockford Society will celebrate their 50th lecture season in 2016-2017.
