The Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) is governed by the Council, which meets once a year at the Annual Meeting. Between Annual Meetings, the Governing Board, which meets three times a year, has full authority to act on behalf of Council. For governance decisions that must be made between Governing Board meetings, the AIA’s Executive Committee has full authority to act. The Executive Committee meets a minimum of three times annually.
