Committees meet throughout the year to discuss the policies of the Institute and current issues in the field of archaeology. Committee terms begin on January 1 of the start year listed and expire on December 31 of the end year listed, unless otherwise noted.

Interest groups bring together AIA members with shared interests in specific topics, usually regional or scholarly areas of study.
