2019-2020 Committees

Committees meet throughout the year to discuss the policies of the Institute and current issues in the field of archaeology. Committee terms begin on April 1 of the start year listed and expire on March 31 of the end year listed, unless otherwise noted. Questions regarding Committees should be directed to the Committee’s Staff Liaison.

Interest Groups

Interest groups bring together AIA members with shared interests in specific topics, usually regional or scholarly areas of study. Structurally, these groups operate more autonomously than AIA committees by allowing members to self-identify instead of being appointed by the AIA President. More information and guidelines…
