Manatee Mineral Spring, Bradenton, Florida. The non-profit Reflections of Manatee invites you to join them in celebrating the many histories of Manatee Mineral Spring. Artifacts from the early village will be on display and we will be serving a picnic that honors the foods of Manatee’s early pioneers including smoked mullet and turkey, homemade cornbread, fruit cobbler, and much more. Other activities: self-guided interpretive signs tell vivid stories of the many peoples who used the spring from early Native Americans to the present day; New College Public Archaeology Lab will display information on the archaeology of the spring property; Time Sifters Archaeology Society will share info about other sites and archaeological programs.
