AIA-New York Society National Archaeology Day Event
September 23, 2011
The AIA-New York Society will be celebrating National Archaeology Day a week early with a talk about the ongoing excavation at Seneca Village in Central Park. After the talk participants will be able to view some of the artifacts from the excavation!
See the event page for more details about the event and a brief history of the 19th century African-American community living in what today is Central Park.
Volunteers are needed to monitor the translations of the International Archaeology Day webpage.
After two years of great success, National Archaeology Day will change to International Archaeology Day for 2013.
The Friends of the Office of State Archaeology in Connecticut acted as a participating partner in National Archaeology Day by sponsoring an Archaeology Fair.
