John D. Cooper Center to Celebrate National Archaeology Day at Local Zoos and Parks
July 12, 2012
During two weekends in October the John D. Cooper Archaeological and Paleontological Center, based at California State University, Fullerton, will host an education and activity booth at local zoos and parks to engage children and adults and promote National Archaeology Day. The booth will include artifact displays, children's hands-on activities, and archaeologists and volunteers will be present to answer questions.
As preparations for International Archaeology Day pick up speed, more groups sign on daily. Today, four new groups joined the cause.
The Society for California Archaeology has signed on as a collaborating organization for International Archaeology Day.
2013's International Archaeology Day sees the return of many collaborating organizations from years past!
