On October 6th, the Chatsworth Plantation Archaeological Project of the Louisiana State University’s Rural Life Museum sponsored a public tour of the Plantation quarters area in the name of International Archaeology Day. The event offered the opportunity to tour the on-going excavations at the site. Not only did patricipants get to see archaeology in action, but could join in the actual digging and processing artifacts.
