Dr. David G. Anderson received his Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Michigan and works as an Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee. He specializes in Easter U.S. prehistoric and historic archaeology, heritage resource management, public archaeology, development of cultural complexity and colonization and migration. He has conducted fieldwork throughout the United States from 1972 to the present. His published works include Archaeology, History, and Predictive Modeling: Research on Fort Polk, The Woodland Southeast, The Paleoindian and Early Archaic Southeast, The Archaeology of the Mid-Holocene Southeast and The Savaannah River Chiefdoms: Political Change in the Late Prehistoric Southeast.
