AIA Lecturer: David Mattingly

Affiliation: University of Leicester

Professor David Mattingly teaches at the School of Archaeology and Ancient History, University of Leicester. He received his PhD from the University of Manchester in 1984. He specializes in Roman archaeology (including Africa and Britain), landscape archaeology, and Saharan archaeology. He has directed excavations in Italy, Tunisia, Jordan and Libya and is currently the director of the Desert Migrations Project, Libya.
