The AIA-Rochester Society celebrated 2013 Archaeology Day with fun activities for kids at the Rochester Museum and Science Center and a lecture by local Archaeologist Dr. Michael Jarvis on October 19. Things got a bit dirty with the shoebox dig which was a huge hit. Kids enjoyed writing their names in Egyptian hieroglyphs and getting hands on with real artifacts.
