Various organizations related to archaeology have been invited to display information about their mission and to have interactive activities for attendees. Our organization will demonstrate how natives made string from plants and how they made thatched walls. We will also have a pottery station where people can make their own pots using the native methods. The museum will have a simulated dig where children can uncover artifacts, bag them and label them. At noon, a well-known local archeologist, Dr. Sassaman, will present a lecture in the 1887 chapel. There will be refreshments after the lecture in front of the chapel and people can socialize.
