IAD with the AIA-Niagara Peninsula Society

The Archaeological Institute of America’ Niagara Society worked with the Brock University Archaeological Society to raise awareness about archaeology at the public library in downtown St. Catharines. They had a booth with a display board sharing information about archaeology and the excavations that Brock University’s Classics professors are working on. In addition, three masters students were present with a research poster explaining the situation in Syria. The children that stopped by got to try a mock excavation and put the pieces of pottery they found back together! About 30 people stoppedĀ to talk to us and they all were interested to learn about archaeology!
