Anne Arundel County’s (MD) Lost Towns Project teamed with Historic London Town and Gardens to host an archaeology event celebrating International Archaeology Day on October 19, 2013. Over 50 people came to London Town in Edgewater, MD to see a lecture given by archaeologist Stephanie Sperling about a Year of Lost Towns Archaeology, visit the lab and help process artifacts, and take an archaeology-themed tour of colonial port London Town. The event was a great success and they hope to have even more visitors next year!
