National Archaeology Day on Pinterest

You can now follow National Archaeology Day on Pinterest!  Pinterest is a digital image sharing social network with a mission to “connect everyone in the world through the ‘things’ they find interesting…. With millions of new pins added every week, Pinterest is connecting people all over the world based on shared tastes and interests.”  The National Archaeology Day pinboard contains visual announcements of new Collaborating Organizations and events, images from 2011 National Archaeology Day, and more.

Experian Marketing Services recently released a report naming Pinterest as the third most popular online social network in the United States, behind Facebook and Twitter.  The AIA hopes to connect with Pinterest users interested in archaeology to increase participation in and awareness of National Archaeology Day.
