National Archaeology Day Reaches 100 Collaborating Organizations, 50 States, 9 Provinces, and 4 Continents

Wyoming Archaeological Society signed up as the 100th Collaborating Organization for National Archaeology Day over the weekend.  In October, local chapters of the Wyoming Archaeological Society will announce National Archaeology Day at their monthly meetings.

Wyoming Archaeological Society’s participation also ensures that National Archaeology Day will be celebrated through events in all 50 U.S. states.  In addition, events are also planned for nine of the ten Canadian provinces (still missing is Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest province in terms of both area and population), Australia, two countries in Europe, and the United Arab Emirates.
