Parkin Archaeological State Park to Celebrate National Archaeology Day

This fall, National Archaeology Day will be celebrated at Parkin Archeological State Park in Parkin, Arkansas.  On October 20, the park will hold a ‘Primitive Pottery Workshop,’ where participants will learn the art of coiled shell-tempered pottery—a technique used 500 years ago at the Parkin site.  With Parkin Archeological Park added, there are now 21 Collaborating Organizations for National Archaeology Day.
