The Lafayette Science Museum in Lafayette, Louisiana, celebrated International Archaeology Day by running the planetarium program, “The First Stargazers” throughout the month of October, in a total of 10 showings.  The program ran for general public audiences each Saturday and Sunday of the month.  Produced by the Milwaukee Public Museum, “The First Stargazers” took audiences back in time with an imaginary time traveler to discover suspected sky alignments at Newgrange in Ireland, the pyramids of Giza, the Parthenon, Stonehenge, and more.
