  • "I cannot say enough positive things about the tour I just took.  Arzu and Hugh were superb leaders and experts.  The sights were fabulous.  The Turkish people were so friendly and welcoming.  Ifett and Alison were truly important to me, Ifett meeting me at the airport and both sending me off at the end.  The materials supplies were very professionally done and informative.  The hotels were excellent except for the Collossae in Pamukkale which was okay but crowded.  I can only imagine what it is like in heavy tourist season.  The hotels staffs were very courteous and friendly. The last day in Antalya I was just getting into the rhythm of interacting with the Turkish people and wanted to stay longer. There is never enough time to see everything and be with the people.  It turns out that two weeks was good enough for me. I would be interested in going to another AIA trip in Turkey to different locations in the future as well as Greece and Italy. Thank you all for such a great tour. Namaste,” - D Waterbury - Splendors of Turkey
  • "The sites were wonderful; the trip was extremely well organized. The tour manager was very good and accessible. Our fellow travelers .. were amiable and interesting" Remote Capitals of the Ancient Maya traveler
  • "AIA cruises are not “the same old, same old” type of trip.  AIA trips encourage thinking about larger concepts than sun tans, shopping, and eating.  Please don’t take me wrong – the ship is beautifully appointed, the food terrific (imagine seated at a table on a deck overlooking the Mediterranean while drinking the included wine or beer, and discussing the events of the day, great ideas, and making new friends).  Our AIA voyage included all the amenities of a fine cruise along with stimulating lectures, thoughtful shore excursions, and interesting participants. For us the absolute highlights were the older archeological sites and the archeological museums that Ili Nagy, our AIA lecturer/hostess, spirited us to during two free afternoons. We look forward to our next trip with AIA Tours and Ili." - Robert - Rome to Venice
