Forty organizations signed up as 2016 International Archaeology Day Collaborating Organizations during the month of June. Many of the groups have participated for the past several years. Organizations that signed up for the October event last month include several organizations from the United States as well as one in Colombia. Event submissions also indicate that International Archaeology Day, or Mezinárodní den archeologie, continues to enjoy strong support in the Czech Republic, with seven events already placed on the International Archaeology Day calendar.
