October 29 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Sponsored by: AIA-New York City Society, The Jewish Museum
AIA Society: New York City
PreK-12 educators are invited to experience the Jewish Museum’s new simulated archaeological dig! Learn about the archaeological process and discover what artifacts can teach us about how groups of people lived, worked, and interacted in ancient times. View original ancient artifacts, excavate replicas of collection objects in the simulated dig, and create a mosaic or clay artifact in the Museum’s art studio. All participants will receive an educator pass for free admission to the Jewish Museum for one year and a copy of Archaeology: A Resource for Educators.
New York State teachers may receive 2 CTLE hours.
