AIA Site Preservation Projects
The Nuri and Royal Pyramids Project will develop and implement a preservation strategy to protect the site from the encroachment, urbanization, and environmental change that threatens the site. The project will also promote outreach efforts involving the local community and work to develop a Sudan-specific guide to best practices for archaeological tourism.
