Abstract: Recent Excavations at Idalion, Cyprus: Cyprus and Biblical Israel

At the site of Ancient Idalion, on Cyprus, we have found several sanctuaries, including one continuously occupied, undisturbed, in use from the Proto-Geometric to the Roman periods.  This lecture covers some of the unusal finds from the past 20 years' excavations, all very closely related to cult in ancient Israel.
