Archaeological Society of Delaware Opens Wildcat Manor to Volunteers
September 17, 2012
The Archaeological Society of Delaware will sponsor an event at their Wildcat site for National Archaeology Day. Archaeological testing at Wildcat Manor has been ongoing for 2 years, and the team has decided to open the site to interested parties and volunteers on October 20th. Wildcat is along the Saint Jones River and is placed by local lore as an important link in the Underground Railroad. If you are interested in learning more about the site, come out for National Archaeology Day in October!
Volunteers are needed to monitor the translations of the International Archaeology Day webpage.
After two years of great success, National Archaeology Day will change to International Archaeology Day for 2013.
The Friends of the Office of State Archaeology in Connecticut acted as a participating partner in National Archaeology Day by sponsoring an Archaeology Fair.
