Cobb Institute of Archaeology Hosts "Mississippi Archaeology Expo"

On Saturday, October 19, Mississippi State University’s Department of Anthropology and Middle Eastern Cultures hosted the “Mississippi Archaeology Expo.” The event was organized with the Mississippi Archaeological Association, with generous financial support from the Mississippi Humanities Council. The Expo was coordinated and staged by MSU professors, students, and volunteers, manning various stations relating to different aspects of archaeology. Of special interest this year was be demonstrations by members of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
Project Archaeology at the Beaverhead Museum hosted a teacher/student Archaeology Day for the region.
