Wickliffe Mounds State Historic Site Planning a National Archaeology Day Celebration

Wickliffe Mounds State Historic Site in Kentucky will be celebrating National Archaeology Day this October as a Collaborating Organization. The celebration will include demonstrations, activities, and exhibits featuring displays of tools, laboratory methods, and artifact types. Presentations and informative materials will showcase an archaeological field school and the importance of preserving archaeological sites. Wickliffe Mounds will also promote National Archaeology Day events with public service announcements and a press release.
Project Archaeology at the Beaverhead Museum hosted a teacher/student Archaeology Day for the region.
