McClung Museum Planning National Archaeology Day Event
August 16, 2012
The Frank H. McClung Museum is working with the AIA-East Tennessee Society to plan a National Archaeology Day event for families, university students, and faculty. Activities will include tables with graduate students and professors identifying artifacts, fossils, rocks, and faunal remains as well as researchers from the University of Tennessee's Archaeological Research Lab and graduate students from the University of Tennessee's Anthropology Department presenting their current work.
More Collaborating Organizations have joined us for International Archaeology Day 2014!
We are so excited to be celebrating International Archaeology Day again this year on October 18, 2014 to raise awareness for archaeology and provide opportunities for the public to participate in archaeological activities.
In preparation for IAD 2014, we just set up a new webpage with precomposed e-mail invitations that you can easily send to your contacts.
