We are hosting Latin students from the Oxford Middle School in Oxford, MS. We shall serve lunch, have Classics Jeopardy, a treasure hunt for sherds that will be mended into whole pots, a tour of the David M. Robinson Collection at the University of Mississippi. Then Dr. Jay Johnston, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, University of Mississippi, will present a public lecture on his excavation at Carson Mounds near Clarksdale, MS (4:00 PM, Bryant Hall 209).
