• The Curatorial Fellow participates in all aspects of planning the loan exhibition “Part Animal—Part Cup: Quenching the Thirst of Gods, Heroes, and Kings.” By bringing together a selection of elaborate vessels of animal shape, this exhibition will explore the rich world of ideas that found expression at ancient feasts.
• The Curatorial Fellow assists with a broad range of other curatorial activities, including the organization of gallery rotations, preparation of interpretive materials, cataloguing of the permanent collection in the Harvard Art Museums’ database, and donor cultivation.
• Foregrounding the museum’s teaching and research mission, the Curatorial Fellow helps provide content expertise and support for the Harvard Art Museums’ study center program and university curricular galleries, and contributes to a rich offering of public and academic interpretive programs across various platforms.
• The Fellow may supervise students and temporary employees.
MA in Art History, Classics, Near Eastern studies, or Anthropology, with a specialization in Ancient Mediterranean or Near Eastern material culture
